Thanks! And that’s sort of what initially happened with me. I had really long hair and started noticing it thinned out (as did hair everywhere else on my body). Then I got a short haircut and noticed patches of hair missing and that’s when I decided to shave my head for the first time. I would say if you’re okay with how it looks or respond well to treatment, don’t shave it off. I didn’t respond well to any treatment, and that’s part of the reason I decided to just shave it all off. I actually do have natural regrowth, but that is part of this specific form of hair loss (and it also can fall out again), so I actually have eyebrows and can grow a beard (in the photo it looks like I have no eyebrows). But, if you do shave it, yes, it’s going to look funny at first. Your scalp will be paler than the rest of your head, but that only lasts for a short while. Going bald actually did me a favor. It boosted my confidence. So all in all, it’s just hair. Do what you have to do to make you happy with your appearance, but don’t worry about what others may think if you do decide to go bald.
