I'd say it's the other way around, mental illness is a form of creativity. You don't have to be mentally ill to be creative, yet being mentally ill can wind up to some wild manifestations of creativity.

ehhh

ehhhhhhhh

idk man, i have a laundry list of diagnoses and i'm about as creative as a brick

I wrote, "mental illness can wind up to some wild manifestations of creativity". Not everyone with mental illness is necessarily blessed with creative skills, nor at the same high level. Funnily, you doubt your own abilities, while at the same time creatively using imagery (laundry list, brick) to describe your point of view. :)

Here I am rocking some serial killer style. What age do you think I look? Be honest. You wont offend or upset me.

Facial hair does tend to make guys look older, particularly if there's some gray in the mix. I would guess you are around 35.

@Boaby Kenobi I would have guessed 30+ something.

Finally found a dress that fits me and doesn't look like wearing a tent. I've probably mentioned my age in some age thread, so instead of age, guess how much the dress cost (you can guess age too if you want)?

Cost = €80 (because everything in Europe/UK is freakishly expensive

Age = 29

Btw, where's Kleo the snake? I'd like to guess its age.

@Boaby Kenobi: My guess would have been low thirties. You look a damn sight good for being 40. Keep it up.

@magicsofa: "Ten doll hairs" Hilarious, my friend!

@magicsofa maybe a bit more than that.

@ReX divide with 80... so just 1 euro. Bought it from a used clothes shop when they had a discount day when everything was just 1 euro. Turned 36 in april. Maybe later I'll upload the little video of Kleo I recored today (and post it in the pet thread), or record another video.

They both lied to have you on their good side. You said you went for serial killer style, so better be safe than sorry. :-)

Cost around 30$, age less than 1 year. I mean, the dress. Well, you asked for it. :)

While changing the bedsheets yesterday, noticed my old judogi in the wardrobe, and inspired by @deus-ex post in the random fact thread... I put it on. Still got the medals too, though also have my brother's medals, which are mixed with mine. There's total 4 gold medals, 3 silver and 4 bronze. I'm guessing I won 2 silver and 3 bronze and the rest are my brother's. Gold medals not in pic. While I'm proud about my winnings, it still feels crappy not having won gold even once.

Used the judogi when I was 12 to 16 years old. The jacket is a little small now (I got a bit wider up there). The pants still fit fine. "Should have" worn a white t-shirt under the jacket. Necklace, ear rings, make up and nail polish would be a no too.

Hey, looks good, fits like day one.

The judogi is usually a couple of sizes bigger to allow for better moveability. It clearly makes sense for the trousers, but I never got why the jackets have to be so big that you can fit two people inside (or use it as a tent). I always hated having to rearrange my jacket after only a couple of moves. And don't get me started about the belt that always keeps getting loose. :)

I still have my gi from when I learned Gōjū-ryū under Budokan and Seibukan schools. It's black and I just can't part with it, even though you'd need a giant shoe-horn to get me into that thing.

We had double-length belts that we tied front-to-back first, and then back around to front. Double-knot and it never got loose.

I think the best strategy is to throw the oversized jacket upon the opponent's head to block their view, then quickly use the belt to bondage them. You're left with a generously cut trouser that makes you look cool when walking away undefeated into the sunset. :)

I think the belt stays on fine, jackets sometimes have problems staying nice. I think a smaller jacket would become loose easier than a bigger one. And I'd definitely be disqualified in a competition with the jacket I have now, the sleeves are so short that it would give me an advantage that I shouldn't have. But I'd probably rather continue kendo, then I could keep my hair as long as it is.

That's a typical answer a young individual will give. You want to compete, take a challenge, prove yourself, which rank you are at, who is better, and who is the best? But don't feel bad, you didn't fail any test. When you get older you gain life experience, which lets you see things from a different point of view.

The answer to "What is the highest level a fighter can gain?" is "Not to fight.". This answer might seem stupid or at least cheesy at first because you did not expect this. But if you start to seriously think about it, you eventually will find good arguments why this answer is wise. It's not about cowardness nor not fighting at all. It's about when to fight, and when not. And ideally, you choose to put weight on the latter option. :)

Teacher: You must avoid confrontation.

Student: What if your opponent punches you.

Teacher: Take the punch and walk away.

Student: Then why bother learning to fight?

Teacher: So you'll know when to walk away before you're punched.

[This is basically the conversation I had when I was learning how to walk away.]
