WR for NoMo is 6.69. WR for pacifist is Alaux's run 6.83, incorrectly categorized on the archive as UV Speed. It's a pacifist run.

 

Using the old full-second timing method, any 6 second run is tied WR for NM/UV/Pacifist/NoMo.

If your run is pacifist, please stop putting uv speed in your post. That will just make automatic category detection more difficult.

Another failed attempt from the 1000 records month. In retrospective it was a bad pick; I don't think this could be beaten by an entire second, only but by a few frames.

I'm hesitating if I will do commentary again: not sure if this new format of videos is more pleasant for the viewer, or actually worse.

hi. im using a command line to demorecord, and i dont know if its the only way or not to be honest.

in order to start on map1-33 on doom2 i add "-warpxx" but what about different episodes in doom? episode 3 map 4 for example? - warp e34 or warp34 don't work.

i use prboom+ to record demos and i do this:

 

prboom-plus.exe -iwad doom.wad -complevel 3 -record demoname -warp 1 4 (command control)

 

1 means episode 1 and 4 means level 4

you're writing -warp3 4, you need to write -warp 3 4

That's very strange. I just tried a shortcut with this:

 

"C:\Games (x86)\prboom-plus-2.5.1.4\prboom-plus.exe" -iwad DOOM.WAD -skill 4 -warp 3 4 -complevel 3 -levelstat -record e3m4.lmp

 

and it works fine; it starts e3m4. I'm sure the order of the arguments doesn't make any difference.

Have you tried downloading the latest version of prboom?

my prboom version is 2.5.1.4

 

edit: whole line is:

guess something else is wrong. never recorded for doom.wad so I never experienced this problem till now

If you have any save files, try deleting them. There's some condition where a save file messes with prboom+. Not sure this is the case but maybe.

What works for me is using something like "-complevel 3 -episode 2 -warp 1 -record e2m1" which records a demo on E2M1.

Perhaps using -episode will work for you.
