Yep it's been 20 years since Requiem was released according to the file creation date 05/07/1997, it'll be 21 this July :D

 

I'm surprised this wasn't accomplished before, the rest of the map after the Arachnotrons isn't agonizing, but I think tyson has always been a niche category with only a handful of specialists that can decimate maps that one would assume impossible for tysoning, let alone be crazy enough to speedrun this category in the first place :D

 

Look for another tyson run coming soon ;)

I tried it in January but no exit. First half was very fine, running past that arch-vile was very brave, too bad it followed you after YK bars. But... the sewer section is not needed. Check out nomos for hard trick or my TAS movie for easy way ;) I may try it again, but not now

Oh... I was too lazy to check. Maybe it's a Zero Press? I don't actually know. I'm hitting the wall now because I found an obvious time save for Max after running this low effort Speed... because SAV didn't use this time save in the Max, so I didn't really think about it. Sometimes having a demo to refer is a bless, but in the meantime, you may unconsciously follow whatever in it and think that's the best way to do it. I have to redo the Max to a better time one day. This map gives me headache for some particular sections...

Funny, first run of today without any warm up. I looked at it afterwards, I found the movement is sort of terrible and I missed a lot of shots... ironically, but at least it's beyond my goal.

 

Quite a bit of tweaks in the routing, so I'm satisfied that it worked out.

The Blue Keycard thing, I used it in my crappy Speed. I didn't think of checking NoMo or something to understand the map better... That's why I decided to do this again because I found that immediately after my 5:51, heh.

 

The Arachnotron thing is interesting, because I used something similar to this here (with timestamp), and they are both exactly the same HP. I think maybe 10 shots from CG could also work, but I'm too cowardice to try it out, heh. This one in Requiem needs some flexibility though, if there's an Imp around (more likely than what happened in this one), that's kind of like exactly 3 SSG shots, or around 20 bullets + 2 SSG shots.
