vdgg Posted August 26, 2014 There is something wrong with laitos demos. I try -iwad doom -file laitos and the demos are nonsensical early deyncs. Wrong wad? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted August 26, 2014 There were a bunch of versions of this wad. I know of three for which there are demos (see the patterns in prb+ cfg). One is the one in the archive (and at DSDA), but the two others may not be readily available any more. Here is one of them (rename as laitosnw.wad if you want to use the autoloading patterns).laitos_new.zip 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted August 26, 2014 And here's the other (rename this as laitosv3.wad).laitos_version3.zip 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Andy Olivera Posted August 31, 2014 104 demos this week. All fixed since last update. Thanks! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
fx02 Posted August 31, 2014 Regarding Zero-Master 30pl, well he did record it with Competition Doom, but unfortunately he did not record it properly (missing player ID, category, pwad) so I can't add it to CNDOOM database :/ 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
4shockblast Posted August 31, 2014 My swtw UV-Speed in 1:34 is for map 31, not map 1. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ZeroMaster010 Posted August 31, 2014 fx02, can you give me a player ID? also what do you mean with category, pwad? In competition doom launcher I see category / game mode so I figured checking Speed and Movie was sufficient? Or should it be added to optional arguments? I would think I will get sub 25 minutes some day, so I don't care too much about getting 30pl2523 on the CNDOOM database, but it would be nice if I get another demo I want to submit that it can also be submitted to that database. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
fx02 Posted August 31, 2014 Your player ID is 244, please send me more info about yourself via PM (your full name, country, date of birth) and if you want to reveal it or keep it private. Well, clicking on speed / movie should be fine. You can always try to record a test demo and then check if everything is fine here: http://www.doom.com.hr/cndoom/testdemo.php but you SHOULD read this for rules (at least Competition section): http://doom.com.hr/index.php?page=compet-n_rules ps. maybe you used menu to quit game and you should use QUIT key after demo recording is finished, well just read rules ps2. sorry my mistake, demo is just missing your player ID, seems upload script is broken after latest database changes, going to fix it asap 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
MD922 Posted September 2, 2014 For Flashback to Hell map 32 UV Speed my old demo got uploaded, in 31 seconds. I posted a bit later of a run in 27 seconds. Can you add to DSDA? Thanks. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
dew Posted September 3, 2014 http://www.mediafire.com/download/g4uxaolb4uyltdc/cz-n.zip My local archvie of the Czech-N demos. I thought this might be a good place to post the link. It's mostly Doom 2 and Rebirth UV-speeds and nomos. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Never_Again Posted September 3, 2014 swtw.wad - 4shockblast's 1:34 UV Speed is for MAP31, not MAP01 1994tu.wad - j4rio's MAP09 FDA desyncs on the final /idgames version. Perhaps someone who still has the first release can contribute the MAP09 entry to the 1994tu_old.wad on DSDA. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
vdgg Posted September 3, 2014 Oh no! Only MAP09? I thought like half of the maps... and I really don't have time now to check so many demos. http://www.speedyshare.com/HSwgA/tuold.zip 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I think this is the very first idgames upload (wad is dated 20/8/2011 - same as textfile release date) https://www.dropbox.com/s/qd07q8jyk0d400c/1994tu.zip?dl=0 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted September 7, 2014 Perhaps this demo could finally be given a home at DSDA. It is very nearly ten years old, after all. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Andy Olivera Posted September 7, 2014 137 demos this week. All fixed since last update. Demos for 1994tu and ur tested and filed under the appropriate versions. dew: What's the Speedster category? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
dew Posted September 7, 2014 Andy Olivera said:dew: What's the Speedster category? nomonsters EDIT: Oops, I didn't check what I'm including. sp02-019.31 wasn't allowed into the competition, because the judges didn't like the glide. :) sp10x023.71 is a training run of mine where I segment the glide, I could never perform this good fo reals. sp30-030.86 is a run by hokis exclusively for the glued movie, nomo on 30 wasn't in the competition and regular uv kept desyncing when appended. lv02glid is my training run for lv02 (and potentially pa02?!), it was so frustrating that I scrapped my attempts, heh. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Springy Posted September 22, 2014 You missed Jordo's UV Max of Hacx Map 16. Here. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
4shockblast Posted September 25, 2014 Kimo's UV-Speed for E1M1 of NMDU is also Pacifist. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ClumsyDoomer Posted September 26, 2014 HexTheRex's Doom E1M1 nomonsters run in 8s is TAS (it has SR50 on turns). So, there is still no e1m1o008 on DSDA (!). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
plums Posted September 29, 2014 AV 2nd release, MAP31 (http://doomedsda.us/wad84m231.html): All 3 UV Maxes, and the UV -fast run, take the secret exit. edit for below: OK thanks, will keep that in mind & sorry for the false report. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Andy Olivera Posted September 29, 2014 115 demos this week. Clumsy & 4shock: Fixed. Thanks! Springy: I didn't miss it. I DL'd it, then later deleted it when I found it had no text file, no time and no author info. plums: Since max demos almost always require the use of secret exits anyway, I refrain from categorizing them as 'secret' so they stay at the top of the maps listings. If there were demos for both exits it would be a different story, but I can't think of any examples where that's happened. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Memfis Posted September 29, 2014 I think 2002ado E4M2 is one example (4:39 and 4:55/4:56 maxes). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
GoneAway Posted October 1, 2014 I posted an eviltech demopack over here: http://www.doomworld.com/vb/post/1309031 It exceeds the attachment size limit so there's an external link instead. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
4shockblast Posted October 1, 2014 There are no secrets on Perdition's Gate map 30, so all Nightmare! demos should either be NM 100 or NM Speed. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Andy Olivera Posted October 5, 2014 121 demos this week. All fixed and added since last update. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lingyan203 Posted October 14, 2014 I still haven't seen my demos for Doom 2 and Hadephobia yet on DSDA, and it's been over a month now. Not trying to bump threads here. I wonder why my Doom 2 and Hadephobia speed demos aren't on DSDA yet? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted October 14, 2014 Perhaps this applies:Andy Olivera said:Springy: I didn't miss it. I DL'd it, then later deleted it when I found it had no text file, no time and no author info. Note that the rules for this forum do in fact ask that text-files be included. It's at the very least inconvenient for a demo zip file not to include the basic information about the demo, and I can fully understand Andy preferring not to archive them in that case. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
