Until relatively recently, I thought Hell Knights and Barons were actually wearing pants. Medieval style, plain sackcloth pants, due to the tan/brown color of it. Turns out it's actually leg fur instead.

-I once got caught in Deimos lab for 1 hour 30 mins, wandering around disarmed, because I couldn’t see a button right in front of me to the exit

-even if i have a plasma rifle, no matter how many weapons I have, I will stick to the shotgun unless cornered

-I have never played doom 3 or anything younger than that

Recently I had some sort of re-spur in actually playing Doom after a longer hiatus. Parallel with the playthroughs I usually watch, I came to one dreadly conclusion -

I yet need to get used to how to play Doom with keyboard and mouse. I've been a keyboard only peasant since 2004. Holy crap.

My favorite Iwad is Doom 1, not because I like it more, but because it's the only one I've fully played.
 

My favorite map is Fire and Ice (Scythe Map 30)

My prefered port is zdoom rather than gzdoom, despite that I mostly play on prboom because my favorite map type is slaughter, but I couldn't figure out demo recording without using DSDA Doom so I swap between 5 different sourceports from wad to wad (2 gzdooms, one for freelook and jumping, the other for normal)

Despite playing doom on and off for years at this point, I only just tried non-custom map mods for the first time last week (Brutal Doom for e1)

 

Finally, I got into Doom because I wanted to play Heretic and Hexin, but wanted to test the source port and doom was easier to pirate (I didn't really know how to at the time. I do now, though I try not to pirate anymore. I even own doom legitimately now)

I adore Knee Deep in the Dead, my favorite episode of Ultimate Doom. By far the episode of UD that I've played the most over the years. That and TNT Evilution are my favorites. Love me tech base levels.

 

I find Doom 2 gimmicky and can only replay it in very short sessions.

 

I only play UD/D2/TNT/Plutonia and I only play with Brutal Doom.

I had a basic idea of what it was. I looked it up on the Doomwiki and accidentally clicked the Wikipedia page for "Hentai" and saw something that I did not want to see.

A while back I coined a term, spelled and stylized AWESO-meh, describing nearly anything and everything that starts out great but then progresses and/or finishes on a lesser, inferior note, essentially invoking a sense of disappointment.

The Doom confession part is how I considered compiling a list of maps, mapsets and MIDIs fulfilling this quota, but eventually scrapped the idea to avoid needless controversy.

Took me a long while to beat vanilla Doom 2 because I mostly played modded stuff
I like the Unity Port
I have not beaten Final Doom yet, nor Doom 64 or Doom 3 (I have played them just not finished them)
I could barely play Doom 2016 due to poor performance
I haven't played Doom Eternal despite having worked on DE monster sprites lol
I like Brutal Doom and Hideous Destructor for what they are & understand they are not for everyone
I wish I could of been there for the glory days of Skulltag
Doom is mostly an artistic outlet for me, thought I do like the games a lot, too, and the community-made content
most soundfonts have ass electric guitars and I wish there was one with a decent one... that or replacing it with something non-guitar but nicer sounding (somewhat Doom-related)

I don't like MIDIs. They sound better now than they used to in the 90s, but as an old Commodore Amiga kid, I still think they suck.

1. I often use no-clip for the sake of saving time when I got lost on the map
2. When I can't find secrets, I use the IDDT cheat because I have morbid perfectionism.
3. I don't like any other Doom games aside from Doom I and II, not because they're bad, but because they're not in my taste.
4. I prefer TNT Evilution over Doom II for various reasons, briefly: atmosphere, textures, style.

Ever since MyHouse.Wad I've joined the forums and have spent way too much time at work reading DoomWorld/Wiki, sketching maps, and watching Doom related YouTube videos.

I'm so familiar with the Doom 1, 2 and Final Doom soundtracks. I listen to them all the time. Except for one track; Getting too Tense. For some reason the intro always turned me off, it sounded like a Wolfenstein rip-off to me so I'd never play it when just listening to the soundtracks on it's own, and with Doom 2 being my least favourite IWAD I never really got a chance to properly hear it in-game either. I only just properly listened to it now, and I realised it's actually pretty good. It's a very good penultimate track with call-back motifs from The Demons from Adrian's Pen and the Doom 2 intermission theme.

I have a couple ideas for some small-scale community projects, but after seeing how much CP's are listed in the tracker, I don't want to start them yet. Also, I have a chronic illness, so my health always comes first.
