40oz Posted October 27, 2011 Well secrets are really more about pattern recognition. If a map follows a specific trend, and something awkward breaks that trend, that's an indication of the secret. So as I mentioned, especially about a room where you would normally expect monsters, I'm considering this type of secret to be in a map that's generally fast paced and has monsters around every corner. If there is a tiny section of downtime, then there is something unusual about that particular section of the map, which would indicate the secret. Or if the map almost entirely consists of your basic shells, bullets, and medical supplies, finding something like an energy cell tucked away in a corner is pretty unusual, and could indicate a fallen piece of treasure behind a special hidden area. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
