I dig the bass track and the melody that kicks in around 1:20 especially. The buildup starting at 2:30 is also rad. S-Priest Posted October 12, 2014 Since everybody's posting... Here's a little guitar plinking. http://www.solarstudios.net/SG/Villstep-Full.ogg - something derived from Hexen Voidr.mus - it's the muted guitar theme continued. Marshall Jackhammer overdrive with palm mutes. http://www.solarstudios.net/SG/Amplugged.ogg - something played out of boredom. Hybrid analogue/digital effects here. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Varis Alpha Posted October 14, 2014 here's something silly i made recently using one of my old MIDI doodles as a base: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/9kd1ks89ql5jwtd/Choo-Choo%20Train%20Render.mp3?dl=0 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Shane Posted October 17, 2014 Here's a re-arrangement I made a while back that I'm still working on. MP3: http://mus.thewaitingroom.org/Toccata%2020141613_234331.mp3 FLAC: http://mus.thewaitingroom.org/flac/Toccata%2020141613_234331.flac In case you're wondering, I only have the first 2 minutes of about an 8 minute song cos I wanted to work on my guitar/bass mix and get it right before recording the whole thing. I'm using miked amps, and re-tracking this whole song over and over would be a huge headache. I need a reamp box. :'( 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Ed Posted October 19, 2014 Uncle Bingo - "Neckbreaker" Industrial metal band I'm working with atm. Pretty straight-forward, Ministry style jam. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

S-Priest Posted December 2, 2014 So people still use the SC-55 drumkit, do they? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Varis Alpha Posted December 3, 2014 S-Priest said:So people still use the SC-55 drumkit, do they? actually, that's FL Studio's General MIDI kit that's automatically assigned when using Fruity LSD. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

S-Priest Posted December 3, 2014 Sounds like the SC-55, those might be licensed Roland samples then. The Windows GS soft synth is based on Roland Sound Canvas samples, Fruity Loops must be using them too... It could just be loading the default Windows DLS file. The actual samples are from 1991 methinks... 1996 would just be the last revision. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Varis Alpha Posted December 3, 2014 Fl Studio says it's the Roland GM/GS Sound-Set, which sounds like the Microsoft Synth, just played at a higher fidelity. no idea how it does that, though. durian said:This is great! S-Priest Posted December 3, 2014 By loading GM.dls. The full path is %systemroot\system32\drivers\gm.dls. The default MS soft synth mixes at 22 KHz, FL must be using a higher sampling rate, interpolated. The original samples are only 32-KHz, by the way. Here's something mixed with a new drum sampler: http://www.solarstudios.net/Music/D_E1M7.flac 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Varis Alpha Posted December 3, 2014 for being such a huge-ass FLAC file, it sounds rather... bad. like a very watered-down sound that my ears can't properly register. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
