LeuKoBlast Posted January 8, 2012 Hi! I'm LeuKoBlast, I'm from Ecuador so sorry for my bad english. I'm a newbie and want 2 introduce myself in this forum with some of my maps. My First map is called: Survivor (It got the 9th place in the Arcades 3d 2011 Mapping Tournament http://www.arcades3d.com/torneos.php?cambio=#cabro10) ========================================= http://www.mediafire.com/?q91rzjg2itj15s4 ========================================= The second one is called: Transition ========================================= http://www.mediafire.com/?tzxxo6hwtn8dt8v ========================================= My third map "Metalic" ========================================= http://www.mediafire.com/?2ops95m79m6j38y ========================================= My most recent map, which I highly recommend is called: "Dark Night" ========================================= http://www.mediafire.com/?33bgbss4nbrbibp ========================================= Well, It's time to show you some of my artistic skills... Sky Driver (a member from the Skulltag Forum) & I have a mapping team called Team Sky-Blast, so I decided to compose an Official Midi Soundtrack for our team, I made it on Guitar Pro 5. The song is called "Shut The F*ck Up" and here's the link to download: =============================================================== Team Sky-Blast Official Midi Soundtrack: http://www.mediafire.com/?tjzrovz3fxkm8l9 =============================================================== PD: If you want, you can use it on your maps but tell me when you do it so I can see how good it could go with a map Here's another Midi, I did it yesterday lol I Will use it on my new map for the A3D Forum Mapping Tournament of this year. It is called "Picked A Whore In The Street, F*cked Her And Got Syphilis" =============================================================== http://www.mediafire.com/?puof04y729aa1p0 =============================================================== Greetings! Grazza Posted January 8, 2012 Really? I dread to think what the original thread title was. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Memfis Posted January 8, 2012 Quite enjoyable. Not exactly my kind of gameplay (Too many monsters per square meter. Are you a fan of Hell Revealed 2?), but the design is really nice. dark.wad doesn't work in most source ports because you added new texture incorrectly. There must be a tutorial on this somewhere... 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I don't know what's the problem, it works perfectly in Skulltag and Zdoom (I haven't added new textures) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Vermil Posted January 8, 2012 You've replaced the sky, but also unesscerilly replaced the TEXTURE1 and PNAME lumps with new ones that only include information for the texture you replaced. Remove those two lumps and all should be fine. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Vermil Posted January 8, 2012 There is also second bug; the linedefs of sector 3 all have the unknown upper texture 'RSKY1' (coincidently the same name as the sky replacement patch). Many ports such as ZDoom and Doomsday will run maps with unknown textures, but the original Doom and many ports will crash. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Vermil Posted January 31, 2012 LeuKoBlast said:I don't really know how to fix this bug... lol Treat it like you would any other unknown texture. It just so happens that this unknown texture is the same name as the sky flat. In this instance, you want to remove the unknown texture (i.e you don't want to replace it). If you are using Doom Builder: 1. Press 'Ctrl H' to bring up the find and replace panel. 2. Set the search type to 'linedef texture' 3. Enter RSKY1 in the top panel and leave the bottom one blank. 4. Press the find button to perform the find and replace. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
