@thestarrover Thank you but No thank you. I can manage. My little jaunt.
Also Do you know where I can find Wadpak1b.wad which is a map collection for Doom2 ? @Doomlover77

In addition to my request above I’ve found two old heretic wad files on a list in text form I found on the internet in 2005.
they are hd2wango.zip and hdwango5.zip. Do you know where I can find them plus noyz.wad, a sounds wad for Doom2 on the same list ? I’ve been after them 16 years.

Probaby this demos is for this beta: http://downloads.zdaemon.org/wads/concernbeta2.zip

At least, this demo playing without desync.

Thanks, yeah, this is the one I was aware of, although it ends up missing the final imp shot, which I think is also a minor desync (otherwise it doesn't really make any sense). So, it's still not quite there I think. :/ I guess unless @cannonball has any betas saved, these demos don't really have any value as there's no way to play them back. :(

I only saw a video of it once - the first map was some kind of a town with cartoonish aesthetics - red brick textures, blue sky, fountains, a lot of civilians walking around(you could kill them with no consequence), lizard enemies and shit
Both enemies and weapons were all over the fucking scale of weirdness. No standard doom weapons I think but I could be wrong, just some weird stuff like a magic wand shooting blue projectiles, then some gun, then some other shit - the assets for weapons and enemies were mixed - probably stolen from different games - with enemies like a giant lizard at the end of the first map that you fought in a bar full of civilians
It all looked like from a dream, and that's how it sounds when Im describing it, but it is real.

Hi!

I'm looking for 'frshpak1.wad', 'fresh3.wad', and 'fresh5.wad' (I believe that's what the filenames would be) by Jeremy D. McCarthy.

The author states this in the readme for the fourth WAD: ..."which will be a collection of fresh1-fresh5"...

I cannot find fresh3, or fresh5, or frshpak1, anywhere. I'm of the opinion that fresh5, and frshpak1 may have never been released. But if there's a fourth WAD, there should at least be a third WAD, right? The fourth WAD's readme shows that the fourth WAD is on MAP03's slot - further confusing the issue...

Any help / advice would be awesome. I couldn't find what I was looking for on /idgames, (unless I completely missed the mark) or wadarchive.

Will likely have more deathmatch stuff to find in a bit...

Thanks for any help!! :D

I’ve found some of what you are looking for. Do you have the following ?

I’ll be happy to help.

Yes, those are the ones I was able to find; I'm just missing 3, and 5 / frshpak1.wad, if they even exist. I don't know if they do.

Thanks for your willingness to help! :)

@Arrowhead  have you tried Google ?  I have. No results for Fresh3 & Fresh5.  @Doomlover77

There’s a wad called Pggm.zip for Doom on idgames but when I downloaded it, it wouldn’t unzip properly. I really wanted to play it. Darn!
I tried fixing the zip file but it still wouldn’t decompress. Can anyone please help ?

@thestarrover Thank you. I’ll try it out. Tried it, very good wad, excellent graphics.

one other wad which I can’t unzip is a Doom2 wad called Warp1.zip by James Healey. It’s on a Doom shovelware Cd called Supergamer

https://archive.org/download/SUPERGAMER/SUPERGAMER.ISO

The troublesome file is this one :-

https://archive.org/download/SUPERGAMER/SUPERGAMER.ISO/DOOM2%2FDOOM%2FWARP1.ZIP

I tried it under Winrar. Says the file is part of a multi disk set. @Doomlover77

The wad (on dosbox) has some issues with the Ultimate Doom IWAD. It seems to work perfectly with Doom 1.666 IWAD. I didn't try it on source ports.

Does anybody have: 'KCB2.wad'? It's an old deathmatch WAD by Casey Clayton.

I have KCF2.wad, but he makes mention of KCB2.wad - yet I can't find it anywhere.

This is what the author says in the KCF2.wad readme:

"Incidentally, I'm not really sure where to upload this stuff, or the protocol
involved.  The only other one I uploaded was KCB2, and it wasn't that great.
(Forgot where it is in fact)  Please, edify me.
"

The author seems to be stating that this file was lost even by March, 1995...

I tried looking on the internet, and other archives, but no luck.

So I don't have much hope - but thought I'd ask anyway!

EDIT:

Also looking for these WADs by 'CTHULU'

-cthulu1.wad

-samhain.wad

-moribund.wad

-moribdth.wad

from around 1994-1995

Thanks!

Oh, great! Thanks for the link! Appreciate your help like always!

I'll very likely have more to look up in the next few days - going through  a lot of WAD readmes and trying to track down missing WADs that the readmes mention...

@Arrowhead  I have compiled a most wanted for Doom1, Doom2 and Heretic wad list in the mid 1990s. About half of them I’ve managed to track down over the years.

Some of these are Woofda, Campers, Campalot, Bad_dawg, Stolen and Stolen3 by Engdahl plus many others.

Here’s list one. highlighted wads are the ones I’ve found.

Here’s list two. Again highlighted wads are the ones I’ve found.

Is that dagger.wad dated nonsensically? Mine says 1990-05-05...

Wondering if it's the same WAD or not... I have no readme, unfortunately...

I have two copies: one is for E1M1. It is dated 1990-05-05.

The other is for deathmatch No text file but only a FILE_ID.DIZ. It is dated 08/14/1995 and it is for Doom II
