Well, they've gotta learn at some time. It's part of the Newbie Experience. :)

common sence would tell you not to ask a question like that to a game that's 8 years old.

Actually, Doom came out in 1993 which makes it 9 years old =)

1995 The Ultimate Doom=Tower Of Babel & Dis
1994 Doom II=Icon Of Sin & Wolfenstein
1997 Final Doom=Go 2 It & Pharaoh
1997 Doom 64=The Absolution & Cat And Mouse

Hmm fav level?
Tough one.
I think it'd be E2M2, The Containment Area, in Ultimate Doom - I just love sneakin' around among those crates and blowing imps away with the singlebarreled shotgun, not to mention smacking them upside their head with the berserker-powered fist, YAY!

E3M3 is kinda fun too (I think now is the time to reveal that I not only like good-looking, "half-realistic" levels but fun levels as well).

As for Doom 2 it's: level 31, Wolfenstein, and level 19, The Citadel.

I don't have any favorite levels in Final Doom and I've never tried Doom 64.

What about totally-realistic levels that are still fun?

There are (officially) no totally-realistic maps done by id (or the teams who made Final Doom).
We're talkin' about the official games here + Final Doom and Doom 64, and I haven't seen a single level among those, which are "totally realistic".

I can't beleive you haven't tried Doom 64 yet! Even if you don't have a Nintendo 64 you must know someone who does! Doom 64 was ok but the game was SO much slower than Doom on computer :)
