Who wrote this?

There is something which looks like fan fiction, right on /idgames. It spans three chapters, but may have more elsewhere. In case you didn't know what I'm talking about, it's this, this and this.

The questions are: who wrote it, what was it made for, and if it got finished elsewhere.

My impression on it (didn't get to read it all) is that it resembles the beginning of Doom 1 too much, but I may be wrong.

Hmm, that's interesting. I thought it's just Dafydd ab Hugh, judging from this, but it appears to be totally another person.

Also what kind of surname is Ackney? Google assumes I wanted to say Hackney.
