SFoZ911 Posted February 27, 2017 What a pleasant surprise! It's been a while since I played Back to Saturn X so it would be cool to try spotting the new little tweaks, other than the obvious ones listed. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
dew Posted February 27, 2017 Da Werecat said:Oh, I'm sure I can find some sort of unfortunate flaw to report. You just wait. We're already aware of some issues with prboom-plus acting weird and non-vanilla, heh. (edit: Actually nvm, I had an older version in the prboom directory and didn't notice the override, heh.) But still. The tether has been severed. The nightmare is one third over! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
esselfortium Posted February 27, 2017 Apparently DEMO1 and DEMO2 are desyncing. I guess it wouldn't be BTSX if there wasn't something still broken, lol 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Mechadon Posted February 27, 2017 Holy moly it finally happened :O 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

rhinoduck Posted February 27, 2017 Coop starts:---MAP14 1 3 0 0 Boomisms (might be intentional though):---MAP25 L 1183 special 252 Do I win a lollipop? (Sorry Werecat.) If you want to check these yourselves in the future: tnswutil. Coop starts get messed up so often that I'd say it is worthwhile having this even if you won't use it for anything else. Oh, and... YAY! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
JohnnyTheWolf Posted February 27, 2017 Why are there two wad files instead of one? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
dew Posted February 27, 2017 rhinoduck said:Coop starts:---MAP14 1 3 0 0 Ooooops. Committing sudoku in eternar shame. rhinoduck said:Boomisms (might be intentional though): Intentional indeed. JohnnyTheWolf said:Why are there two wad files instead of one? Because vanilla Doom (and now chocolate as well) has a static limit for lump count in one file, which we managed to surpass. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Boomisms (might be intentional though):---MAP25 L 1183 special 252 This one's intentional, since you can't reach the affected lines in vanilla singleplayer they don't hurt anything in vanilla. JohnnyTheWolf said:Why are there two wad files instead of one? Too many lumps in one wad causes vanilla to choke hard and melt your computer. E2 is the same way. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
esselfortium Posted February 27, 2017 Okay, I hotfixed the map14 coop starts before they spread any further, haha. 1.0.01 is the fix. Same URL. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Grain of Salt Posted February 27, 2017 I always kinda assumed there wasn't going to be a final version of BTSX. The earlier releases, even the first one, felt pretty final to me. Not to be pedantic, but I'm guessing you used mod powers to edit the thread title, since the OP supposedly was last edited in 2014? Edit: OP downloaf link doesn't seem to work. Page 15 one is fine. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Huh, I guess so. I didn't do anything special, I just edited it and it worked. Edit: OP downloaf link doesn't seem to work. Page 15 one is fine. Fixed, thanks! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Breezeep Posted February 27, 2017 I never thought I'd see at least one episode of BTSX finished. Grats on getting this one out! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
rhinoduck Posted February 27, 2017 Just out of pure curiosity... what is the purpose of this in DEHACKED?Text 6 6 runni2quiksv Also, ZDaemon does not seem to like that tabs are used as separators in the par entries. Pars are not important in ZDaemon, so it's a non-issues there, but I wonder if there are other weird/old DEHACKED parsers around which may have problems digesting this. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Tarnsman Posted February 27, 2017 I still don't believe this release is actually happening. It's clearly a large attempt at gas lighting the community. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
esselfortium Posted February 27, 2017 Reuploaded (v1.0.02) with a fixed DEMO1 from Alfonzo that should play properly. Not sure what happened there, but it should be better now. Same URL as before, again, and no other changes made. edit: lol of course it still breaks in choco i don't even know what's going on anymore 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

NuclearPotato Posted February 28, 2017 Doing a playthrough right now on HMP; feels a lot less brutal overall than the RC's before. I found a sector bug in MAP06 though; I'm using GZDoom 2.3.2. The gif below will explain far better than I can. https://gfycat.com/ComplicatedGargantuanCaiman (apologies for the display capture; OBS doesn't play well with GZDoom). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
dew Posted February 28, 2017 This doesn't happen outside of GZDoom, so I don't know how to even begin fixing it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Linguica Posted February 28, 2017 I just downloaded it and Map31 is entitled "The Hard Way" according to the DEH and Map32 is "Grosse". 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
