Slaughterfest 3 [Beta_C released, 05/08/2017]

Everything comes to an end, enthusiasm included, no need to play this endless "improvements!" game anymore since said improvements just aren't coming. I personally am not going to pass my judgement on any of the maps at this point (that's a pretty arrogant sentence now that I'm reading it, but oh well), I don't remember anything truly horrible in this megawad's last known state. Whether it's better or worse than sf12 is debatable, bot have their ups and downs, but in any case - I'll be totally fine with whatever final result there is after mere compilation and bugfixing of what's currently on the table. Will this be the end of sf? Well, maybe, but it doesn't mean that this thing shouldn't be finished after all.

fwiw I had a few new layouts in the works, one of which I was considering as a map30 candidate (with the intention of moving chronoblast into late E3, m29 probably). unfortunately my patience for large-scale stuff nowadays has worn a bit thin so I didn't get around to finishing them.

See, it's actually better than it seemed, haha.
There was also Uprising from cb, I think it's safe to pick two maps that you don't really like and put both that one and Blue Shift instead.

Hmmm, I'm afraid I won't be able to come up with a better texture scheme for it without additional detailing or layout alterations...
Other than that - I'd say screw retexturing for any other maps in question unless there's someone really enthusiastic (I don't believe in it, myself), it's a waste of time. Again, if (I'm just saying) the decision is made against including joe's map as m35 - Poop can be moved to that slot. Or... something like that.

Hopefully after all the bugs in all the levels get fixed, I am looking forward to a new version of the WAD available for download. I wouldn't want to rush the project or anything. I've been waiting for a couple of years for an official version of this to come out.

Aw, come on. A Ribbiks Map30 would be so great for this. I'm not hating on Chronoblast or ESL (actually I'm kinda hating on ESL, TOD doesn't do super-long maps very well, it kinda just drags on after a while), but they don't really feel like megawad-enders. At least neither of them is "Blatant gggmork fanboyism", which has Phml's usual gorgeous architecture... with a hilariously low amount of monsters so that the map actually feels almost empty.

Anyway, unrelated thing, seems like Chaos Slaughter's big issue is that it has a missing flat (M_TILE1). I only used sf2013pr-tex_v2.wad for resources, but apparently at some point after I went away it was decided not to use that for the whole megawad and instead just let everyone merge their own custom textures into their maps? And now I don't actually have the version of my map that's in the beta to be able to fix that.

Okay, now I think I have these links working. Hopefully, at least. I'm trying to get them to be a direct download link instead of having people have to go into the onedrive site to get the file, so bear with me.

In regards to the map order and project finalization, A sick MAP30 like SF2012's would be awesome, but it's a matter of motivation at this point so I think the map-list that was posted will work fine too. If the stars align and SF4 is picked up again, perhaps some definite QC could start there? I'd like to see more of these in the long run, slaughtermaps have seemed to fall out of the limelight in the past couple years.

Also just a heads-up, "Temple of Judg(e)ment" has a typo; Judgment has only one 'E' in it. :P

Anathema is my favorite. I have to say that Ribbiks makes great levels. Don't expect them to be simple, though. You have to be hardcore into the game to be good at them. I think there should be a level included in this WAD that has more enemies than the Okuplok level, which has more than 23K. You would have to have a monster of a machine to play it though.

Judgement is an accepted spelling, it can be either way.

Hmm, upon further research it appears to be so. I guess since the spellchecker always corrected it when I included that 'E' I assumed it was supposed to be that way. Now it's been beaten into my memory to spell it "Judgment", but that's only because I've been handling the word a lot recently.

Well, if Archi so insists (which is a shame, the map is short and simple but fun), then one of Daiyu's maps is another candidate for replacement I guess, unless our revered leader minds elaborate HR tributes too much. And then - find one missing patch, insert one bonus map (?), fix a couple of bugs and stuff and... release?!
All in all - I think at this point it's safe for Ribbiks to use his position and make his own decisions without waiting for opinions, as they're all too rare as of recently. Even if those decisions would mean rejecting my maps for whatever reason - I won't mind, haha. C'mon pal, push!

hiho, played this in survival coop today and encountered some critical flaws.

01 - If you die in Blue Key room/trap their is no tele to get in and the door can't be re-opened from the outside.

02 - Your trapped right at the start once the switch is pressed and the elevator lowers.

04 - Coop player starts are in voodoo doll chambers.

Stopped at map11 as it became apparent this is much worse then sf2012 :I

I've actually gotten through level 11. It took some work but I eventually got it. The design to me is pretty interesting, especially with the houses and stuff.

My map was based on the map called Supernib from Slaughterfest 2011, and its for the Slaughterfest 3, which is a megawad made bye the Doom community, just like the previous Slaughterfests.

Ah ok :) I have did my first WAD IGTH and it is about slaughtfest too. But I havent seen bevore, that somewhere structured map so, that much all monsters shot fireballs around battlefield. I have get this on idea and created it on IGTH (part 3). Now I plan IGTH2 and I want make level more eye-turn (its 10% finished).

Ok I will wait if you finish your WAD :)

You right click on the image, press 'open in new page', and you copy the link :)

I dont exactly know what operation system you use, but there should be something like that :D
Like 'open picture in new window' or something like that
