Doomguy vs. Masterchief

If Doomguy has the BFG, Chief has the Spartan Laser. It comes down to Doomguy being able to destroy Chief's shields and not be vaporized by the laser during the BFG's cooldown. But considering that Doomguy can eat rockets and live, I still think he winds. But it won't be a insta-win either.

while doomguy does it all fully human, master chief is mechanically and biologically enhanced. doom guy doesn't have recharging shield capacity, but he can gib you with his fist and out run you. the ssg is his elite sword. also the only way the chief can match the bfg is with a tank, although in sure doomguy would run circles around the tank berserk punching it while laughing like an insane person, gore and filth baked onto his face.

Actually, you're post just got me thinking. Here's another take on it: Master Chef is hard. Doomguy is hard AND mental. Who would you bet against?

It could also be argued that Doomguy is immortal, as he can 'respawn' without his weapons. Whereas MC is forced to load a previous save. I.e he's never died and come back.

Alright it was said forerunners and the flood were more powerful in hell because hell had trouble conquering one planet. Anything to combat that?

Simple : they failed because they chosed the only planet with Doom Guy to protect it.

We only know that they had trouble conquering Earth. And that was only because of one man (well, a man and a half...). Who know's how much of the universe they have conquered?

Actually the story of the spaceship invading the base in TNT could be a clue that Hell invaded many other places.
Or at least sure have capacity to do so.

also, hell is a much more long term threat. plus since they're both basically space marines doomguy could be the forerunner of master chief. and hell is where the bulk of the covenant now is, so no doubt they will try again, only now as satan's minions.

Halo will die because it gets old too fast, they keep making more games for it too frequently and it just flat out sucks tumors stuck on the brains of the player who thinks Masterchief is better than Doomguy.

You have to realize that Evilution and Plutonia aren't canon and are third party Doom sequels.

Doomguy has by my reckoning most advantages, mostly revolving around the fact that he can indefinitely run like a cheetah while carrying 8 or 9 weapons and all the ammo he could need for them. However, Master Chief could evade death by hopping over a small berm and running away. It wouldn't be much of a victory but who said anyone actually had to kill anybody to win?
