I have never seen those lifebars before and i have already used all the major engines before i settled on zdoom. Maybe its an easy to miss option.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. I aim to have a fun and inviting atmosphere to my stream. I'm still at that very small and chill stage of streaming where it's pretty much all people passionate about what I'm streaming (usually Doom.)

somehow i get a sort of robotic feeling from your stream now, compared to the more lose ended fun you had a few days ago. But its still a good stream made by somebody who clearly plays doom.

Might be the camera. I tend to get slightly more stiff/"professional" when I'm being "watched." Either that or it's my mic. I went back to my webcam mic which is of lower quality so it probably lacks some of the warmth of my other mics. Cool to know though. Still trying to decide what I want to do with the stream.

At least as far as viewercount/chat interaction went I think this was my most successful stream to date.

As was already discovered/discussed on the stream, the lifebars are a new feature in the PrBoom+ 2.5.1.4 beta although as far as I've seen is only available in the GLBoom+ renderer.

Apparently GlBoom-plus only. Thanks anyway.

Aren't they (PRB+ and GLB+) the same except for openGL rendering? Features that don't depend on the rendering engine would be in both, no?

That's true. And believe it or not, enemy lifebars (particularly their displaying) apparently fall into the category of features that depend on the rendering engine. I turned them on in GlBoom-plus, and they displayed fine. Then I changed GlBoom-plus's renderer from OpenGL to software mode, and they didn't display anymore. Changed back to OpenGL, they displayed again - so their display is clearly OpenGL dependent. In PrBoom-plus, there is no option to enable them in the first place.

Yup, exactly this unfortunately.

Well, as for "new", my copies of PrBoom-plus and GlBoom-plus are from June 10th 2012, and GlBoom-plus has the lifebars (not set by default, but available in options and fully working).

Haha, fair enough, "new to me" at the very least. New-er than the most recent stable release in 2011. :P

This streamer has a serious rodd up his ass. He thinks that liking Doom while also liking new games is "Trolling" and then invents non existent "arguments" as if liking doom but also liking more advanced modern games would mean that one always thinks doom is bad because its old... and then acts as if "only" doom could ever be good.

He bans for that.
This is whats wrong with the modern doom fanbase.

Have you considered the possibility that only you are the moron here?

Well. I would argue that pretty much any chatban on twitch is justified. The streamer comes there to have a good time, and his stream+chat are kind of like his personal playground. If someone in the chat makes things less fun, the streamer has every right to remove them. It's his stream and his rules. Maybe he's not in the right mood for this kind of discussion, maybe he doesn't want to see you period. Whatever the case is, chatbanning is kind of like chasing an annoying guest away from your house. The guest isn't really in the position to complain here. He ruins the atmosphere, he's seen as unplesant, so he is out.

Asshole streamer finishes Pcorf's Community Project 2 + Way Too Many Dead Guys

I hear (or rather don't hear) this guy manages to irritate everyone without even using a mic. Like seriously? Who streams without a microphone?
