Delightful, I look forward to shedding the blood of my enemies (and, uh.....probably more of my own than I'd care to mention) in these stately vignettes.

Feel free to ignore the question if the answer would spoil too much, but since this is a two-man megaWAD, does the map order follow the Speed of DooM model (that is, map by Danne, map by Ribbiks, map by Danne, map by Ribbiks, and so on), or is it more catch-as-catch can? Or, gasp, are a bunch of these maps collabs?

we try not to have too many maps by either of us in a row, but it doesn't follow any sort of strict ordering. Also yes, there are plenty of maps that we both worked on.

Lovely screenshots. The architecture flows so smoothly! The sort where I'll spend as much time gawking as killing.

Me too! This is too beautiful to restrict to the doomgods. Personally I do like reasonably hard and lots of monsters (I think AV is about right) but I also like to have a chance to survive it.

If you are interested in some perspective from someone who sucks ass at doom, I would enjoy giving these a playthrough on the lower difficulties (although I'll probably try UV first out of morbid curiosity). If you want, I can even record it and post on youtube in unlisted format and only PM you the links, or make them private with only you guys being able to watch them, provided you do so from your youtube accounts.

Those screenshots just look too beautiful for me to care about things I tend to dislike in maps. Nearly every screenshot in the first post has absolutely wonderful atmosphere to it, it makes me forget my usual preference for vanilla and classic doom style.

Seeing there's a great interest in making the wad beatable for all type of players, we can only tell you that it is in our interest to do so. But since we are spending just as much time on tweaking gameplay as we do with detailing, we prefer it to have at least a hint of challenge on all skill levels. You guys have a lot of time to practice before the release ;)

Unholypimpin: I'm afraid you have to wait for a public beta or the final release.

Antroid: We have people testing already, but we'll PM you if we need more feedack on lower difficulties. Thanks.

I 'practice' every day :D

The population in the screenshots looks quite reasonable, actually. I think folks worry a bit because there's been a trend toward beautiful maps being unreasonably hard, to the point that they're 'work', yet not much fun on lower skill levels (if they exist). I think it's good to remember that most players don't spend all their free time playing DOOM, like all of us here do. ;)

No prob. I would love to help that way if you happen to need it, but I'll be happy to wait for a public release to see and play these levels just the same.

This project looks like it's going to be mindblowing.... so many orgasmic screens, and having 2 authors designing it ensures extra diversity to keep things fresh.

Beautiful, love how the various structural lines come together and lead my eye.

Hope that 4th one won't be that dark -- had to load it in an editor and up the gamma to see anything, and it's too interesting to hide. :)

'Lust' in-fucking-deed....

The sector-meltage in the snowy shot looks a little odd, makes me think of candle-wax or something instead of ice. Generally speaking, though, every time I see something from this project I have to go stand outside in the breeze to get my, um, 'humors' under control again. Keep it up gents!
