Ever heard of DoomWars ?

somebody is making a Fan-made Doom RTS in the Stratagus engine.
This seems to be a nice game for doom fanatics ! This seems to go all the way back to 2010 but recently got a new release in 2014.

That's Vader's Cacolich - basically an undead Cacodemon that has a weak homing projectile (fired from it's eye) and a close-range breath attack that is basically a green flamethrower. Notably, it's jaw basically falls off and crumbles away as it dies, as well as some other falling apart. It was first seen in the Monster Resource WAD, back when DECORATE was first introduced in ZDoom for more complex actors than mere decorations or HeXen-style inventory items.

Thanks for your comments :) As soon as it's possible, I'll release second beta, which will fix all bugs that were found in the first version.

Yes, you can upgrade regular Cacodemons to Vader's Cacoliches, which are tougher.

DoomWars makes me think of a Star Wars/Doom crossover, personally. is DoomCraft a name taken already, or is there some popular RTS game featuring the usage of Wars in the name?

I'd rather love to see a Starcraft mod with a Doom theme! I believe there were three tools that can hack it for you, StarGraft, StarDraft and a MoPaQ editor. All hacky, but kinda doing the Dehacked work for you. I'd be excited to see a war between Terrans, Demons and Protoss!

Why it is necessary to tie game's name with "craft"? Just because gameplay mechanics are similar with "--craft"?
DoomWars sounds at least more "doomy", if you know what I mean.

And yeah, DoomCraft is a name I heard a long time ago. Don't remember much details, though, whether it was supposed to be Doom&WarCraft hybrid, or a mod to WarCraft...
