Guest Unregistered account Posted October 22, 2014 Hi everyone, I've just been getting into Paint.NET and I need some help with these queries: -How do I get Paint.NET to use the Doom palette? -How do I open Paint.NET files in Slade? - ^ Vice versa? ^ Thanks in advance, I hope to be making Doom resources soon. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Shadow Hog Posted October 22, 2014 Only recommendation I have for the palette question is to have a blown-up 16x16 image of the palette loaded that you can use the Eye-dropper tool on; Paint.NET doesn't really have a 256-entry Color Table. You get, like, 48 or so. As for moving graphics from Paint.NET to SLADE or from SLADE to Paint.NET: PNGs, PNGs, PNGs. For the former, be sure to convert it in SLADE to Doom Graphics Format for sprites/texture patches or Doom Flat Format for flats, if you're doing a non-ZDoom mod (most source ports can't read PNGs, but at least ZDoom can, probably others too). As for exporting, convert it to a PNG in SLADE (format doesn't matter TOO much) and then export the lump, and anything that can read PNGs (ie: most image editors) will be able to read it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

(Edit: In SLADE.) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
