It's interesting how the engine paints the darker sectors in a more greenish hue, or at least it seems greenish next to all the red. Not sure if it's a deliberate effect or just a lighting quirk. 0 Share this post Link to post

Spoiler I'm soaking this up like water in a sponge..I love HR Giger's work ..and playing without the HUD is really helping! 0 Share this post Link to post

For now, if you use Gimp, you can select Layer->Transform->Offset, select "Offset by x/2, y/2" and it will offset your picture so that you can see the seams assuming there are some, then you can work on correcting them. 0 Share this post Link to post

That is how I made it in the first place- start painting it in the middle of canvas then offset with Photoshop and fill in the rest~ 0 Share this post Link to post
Dragonfly Posted April 29, 2016 I am along with the bandwagon on this one, that palette swap is delicious, Fuzzball! The first shot in your more recent post which features the archvile is very striking! 0 Share this post Link to post
IMX Posted April 29, 2016 Please make that palette available as soon as you can. Rec/Dec looks even more awesome with it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Fuzzball Posted April 29, 2016 I did earlier- but I updated it to include some matching blood colours too~! Here you guys go- glad you all like it! I recommend playing without any HUD too...really draws you in. https://www.dropbox.com/s/848nzzxdk8blmht/gritty.wad?dl=0 ! 0 Share this post Link to post

DMPhobos Posted April 30, 2016 Damn, those are some nice shots Z0k Gotta detail more my own maps from now on D: 0 Share this post Link to post
Z0k Posted April 30, 2016 lurking trought my files i found a old screen from a project which DMPhobos and myself were working: we wanted to make a doom wad based from Smash T.V from snes, basically resumes on, players only can take 1 shot, but also does no-boss monsters (killing high amount of them in those arena rooms). probably we would work it once we finish our current project 0 Share this post Link to post
an_mutt Posted May 1, 2016 I keep on telling myself not to do shadow casting over large rocky terrains any more and, well, why 0 Share this post Link to post
AD_79 Posted May 1, 2016 The shadow casting looks too sexy to pass up, mutt! 0 Share this post Link to post
Fonze Posted May 1, 2016 I love this thread. Hey mutt it's a good thing you enabled God mode; those killer shadows would've been the end for yo-- *ducks a tomato* 0 Share this post Link to post
joe-ilya Posted May 1, 2016 Why are there shadows? There's no sun or anything like that. 0 Share this post Link to post

HorrorMovieRei Posted May 2, 2016 Hideous Destructor with Fuzzball's palette and a bunch of other mood-enhancing mods. 1000x scarier than Doom 3. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Unregistered account Posted May 2, 2016 Yes, this works in Vanilla. Sorry, if it's hard to make out due to Chocolate Doom's resolution, (Updated to PRBoom screenshots) but that is a flat above those platforms. All objects standing on the platforms work correctly. You can even walk on the platforms, although the illusion is destroyed if you look at the edge/use a larger platform/use mouselook. This took quite a bit of brainstorming! 0 Share this post Link to post
AD_79 Posted May 2, 2016 A tutorial would be quite nice, I'd love to see how that is done! 0 Share this post Link to post
