A source port (or several) needs to implement taking animated screenshots, where it analyzes the current view for strobing lights / animated sprites and makes a GIF appropriately.

A hacky solution would be using the ffmpeg command line when someone uses the -viddump command in PrBoom+ to output a .gif file

That would be a seriously cool / useful feature! recording gifs can be a pain in the ass.

due to some things being potentially out of sync, the length of an entire 'cycle' could be astronomical (see: the longest wad ever made, by yourself). i guess a hard-limit in such cases would work. A more potentially useful feature could just be press a key to start/stop recording and it saves a gif

SRB2 (I Don't think that's a Sourceport anyways, But is based on Doom Legacy) has a Movie mode that allows recording GIFs (Software mode exclusive) .

Took me some time to export some of those textures from Blood.RFF and resize & import them back to a custom TEXTURES Table since ZBlood apperantly didn't have them but i did it, Here's a 90% completed version of the Final Boss level "Hall of Epiphany" from the game "Blood" :



Also i know, the Sky is wrong but Blegh, Quick MAPINFO change .

As a Blood-fan, this interests me. I've known about ZBlood for a long time, but that project isn't exactly true to Blood in any way. I still think a competent remake using ZDoom / GZDoom is very much possible, though it would be kind of obsolete because of BloodCM for EDuke32. I would still prefer the editing possibilities of ZDoom though.
