nxGangrel Posted May 31, 2017 It's meant to be boom compatible (level design wise), but if I manage to screw it up enough it may as well be for zdoom. I can't playtest on eternity due to some type of error in texture folder (which I don't know why), so I don't know how well it would work on anything that isn't zdoom. I'll fix it. I'm just putting action lines,traps and monsters(of course testing until my eyes bleed in blood) to be sure if I don't miss anything important. Hey, theres nothing to fix. this is your map, design it how you want. if you want to change the ceiling, go for it, if not, leave it as it is! I just trying create something enjoyable for everyone, not only for myself. It's hard to see here,because I put player on windows to get this screenshot. Maybe some lights could do the trick here. I'm trying to figure out what the stigma about Zdoom is from other people =) I reckon it's three reasons: 1: Many maps that target ZDoom do a lot differently to vanilla Doom (custom monsters, weapons, scripts, etc. etc.) which some people don't like, so as a result the source port itself gets lumped into the same dislike. 2: Because (G)ZDoom supports a lot of advanced features, even if you don't play with them turned on some people don't like the feel that they're even options. You can set ZDoom to look basically identical to Crispy, but because all the other options are there it just doesn't feel the same. 3: ZDoom's underlying engine was rewritten, so there are a variety of very small, subtle differences to the vanilla experience.
