Make many sectors in themselves 3) pick a nice texture theme for every sector 4) profit Same approach was used for The Womb in Sunlust. PS: Orthogonal lines are seen as lighter or darker because of engine. No linedef should be orthogonal when you do it. Nothing special in the first one, just abusing red colours in a typical cliched manner. I thought I would use some textures I am not so comfortable with for this map. Guest Unregistered account Posted July 16, 2017 (edited) Well, I mean, pretty much all fanmade Doom sprites that are edits of existing work have parts that are obviously just edits of existing spritework (see Brutal Doom, where every new animation has static lighting/body parts between frames but just moved slightly). Despite my tone here, I really don't mind it at all - I just can't let myself do it in my own work, because it breaks immersion for me and looks tacky. Need testers. PS: I stole pistols from Deus Vult 2. To edit lighting, you would need 3D model and compute the lighting and it would be a lot of work-that-is-not-seen to make it fit with original sprites...
