Prob has something to do with the custom monsters in Valiant. I'm willing to bet there's a compatibility patch out there for this.

I think it's something more with Complex Doom / Clusterfuck. I remember I played Valiant without mods and I never saw that enemy

I've been working a little on making a floating arch vile (for my mod, The Arch Files).  Here's a preview:

What is that below the archvile? Dark magic sparkles? Or his body parts puffing away?

I really like it, but, imho, the monster is missing something. Like some particles on the lower part of the body.

Like this guy:

The particles colour could be a green or a blue colour.

have you seen the other version that appears in scythe 2?  I really want him as a boss because he has more health than a cyberdemon and has a very powerful attack.

Also, at this time the legs are still visible, which makes him look very strange.

Is it going to replace every monster with Archvile variants?

Error, the afrit from scythe 2 has 2500 hp, the cyberdemon has 4000 hp :P

then how come I cant one hit kill them with BFG9000 when I can to a spidermastermind with 3000 hp

idk, but the hp of he is 2500, can you check the dehacked of the afrit

Maybe because the mastermind is so wide that it catches all the rays from the BFG spray, while some of the rays miss the much-narrower afrit.

Most likely.

If you wanted to one-shot the afrit, you'd probably have to get in its face like you do a cyberdemon in a two-shot, but as I remember that version, that's nearly impossible or otherwise undesirable.
