That is sweet. Didn't know that quad barrels existed. The 1216 shotgun is pretty sweet, too. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

(I also know this thread Is three months old, but what the Hell, Right?). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Blastfrog Posted August 1, 2015 The SSG was an edit of the normal shotgun done by hand. This is a known fact just by looking at its reload animations, don't even need to ask Romero about it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Avoozl Posted August 1, 2015 There was an earlier alpha sprite and pickup sprite of the Super Shotgun as a pump action weapon. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

The final really shares nothing of the Shotgun. I disagree with Soda, it seems. If anything, it was drawn entirely by hand, though perhaps drawn over at least one of the shotgun sprites. The base frame could have been drawn or based on a photo of an actual or prop Double Barreled. If anything, I still think it's possible that the base frame is capped from Evil Dead II. *shrugs* 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Da Werecat Posted August 1, 2015 Reloading is derived from the original shotgun's reloading frames. The C frame is clearly an edit, the B frame's origins are less apparent, but still traceable. Other frames are simple and could've been drawn from scratch. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Average Doom Enjoyer Posted March 14, 2022 The ssg for Doom II is a heavily modified tootsy toys shotgun, they didn't use an actual irl model or toy to scan it in, they just took the shotgun and added on some extra kibble, thus making the ssg 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
