glenzinho Posted February 4, 2015 32 in 24:14 should be up for consideration. Amazing quality for such a short build time. 0 Share this post Link to post

The maps are surprisingly playable and some of them are downright jaw-dropping (To the point of wondering how somebody could possibly make that in 24 hours) Also, I've been meaning to post this for a while, but I couldn't find a good time. My Idgames review was supposed to be five stars, but I accidentally hit submit before selecting 5 :( Trying to be a smartass has its problems sometimes. I only noticed after going back, seems like some guy got mad about it or something. So I thought I'd apologize in case anybody cared. 0 Share this post Link to post
scifista42 Posted February 8, 2015 Valiant is a certainty. Awesome megawad. :) 0 Share this post Link to post

Well, actually the wad was in the works for a lot longer than 24 hours, plus it has more than 32 maps so the title is 100% misleading. Good marketing tactics lol. 0 Share this post Link to post

scroton Posted February 10, 2015 Gez said:Obviously we're talking about the release date, not the project start date. Lots of projects take more than one year to complete, there's even a category for the longest development time. There seems to be more flexibility for mods though, as past Cacoward winners have won when they were neither begun in the year that they won, nor completed in the year that they had won, but instead had been updated with a major update in the year that they won. 0 Share this post Link to post
Pure Hellspawn Posted February 12, 2015 For being so damn good with polyobjects and scripts, my nomination for Mapper of the year goes to Jaxxoon R. Not many are able to work with polyobjects as they require making sectors and rooms that are specifically only used for the polyobjects. 0 Share this post Link to post
Du Mhan Yhu Posted February 16, 2015 Linguica, just because of InstaDoom. 0 Share this post Link to post
Imback55 Posted February 16, 2015 I guess I'll nominate InstaDoom for the Mockaward. 0 Share this post Link to post
TMD Posted February 16, 2015 Linguica finally released a wad of cultural substance. Give that fella the Espi. 0 Share this post Link to post
Pure Hellspawn Posted February 16, 2015 InstaDoom for the mockaward. 'Nuff said. Linguica is also the founder of Doomworld and so i'd like to see him nominated for the Espi award. 0 Share this post Link to post
VGamingJunkie Posted March 2, 2015 As far as serious nominations go, Total Chaos definitely deserves some kind of award when it eventually releases, supposedly an open beta will release in April-June. I cannot think of a single mod on any source port of Doom that impresses me as much as this does. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ta1EGfCQN4Y 0 Share this post Link to post
joe-ilya Posted March 7, 2015 32in24-14 for best SP game. Instadoom for mockaward Batandy for most promising newcomer. 0 Share this post Link to post
Nevanos Posted March 7, 2015 Valiant. This shizz of a megawad is too fun. 0 Share this post Link to post
Breezeep Posted March 25, 2015 I nominate scifista42 for the Espi Award. He's a great help to the various mappers of the community, providing wad authors with FDA's and providing feedback on them. EDIT 11/17/15: Nah, I'm revoking this nomination because I didn't know what the Espi award really was. 0 Share this post Link to post
Tarnsman Posted March 25, 2015 I nominate Joe Ilye for the Espi Award. No member of the community has unified the community like Joe has. Truly he is a gift to us all. 0 Share this post Link to post

I'm seconding this only because I want to see Alfonzo try to write the article. Maybe someone should video the writing process. 0 Share this post Link to post
dew Posted March 25, 2015 The article can be outsourced to the most appropriate person to talk about the award winner. In this case the most logical choice would be joe himself. 0 Share this post Link to post

Being a Doom wad enthusiast but an irresponsible lazy bastard like myself is not really worth what the award is supposed to be, IMO, it's for those who dedicated real effort and time to do responsible actions. 0 Share this post Link to post

I would like to nominate Tarnsman for the Espi award. He has also unified the community at large in vociferous agreement on three counts, which are as follows: 1. He has the dumbest doom stream on twitch. 2. He is "no fun allowed" personified. 3. He is possibly a monstrous homogay. (Yes, the consensus all included the word "possibly" in some capacity) On topic though. Have I said Valiant should be cacowarded? Because it should. 0 Share this post Link to post
