Crispy/Chocolate-Doom DM!

duh

Recommended Posts

I just did a lobby server using crispy-doom with -oldsync parameter (dunno if it was needed at all). Let's test how well it goes. Been a while since the last time I tested playing online with it (it was with Protox and the game was exiting all the time).

For now it's going to be doom2 map07 just for fun, and because there is no way for the lobby hoster set the same PWADs for everyone.

I wish there was some port out there that was basically a client/server version of Choco Doom rather than P2P. I know this would probably take an immense amount of work and stuff, but a guy can dream!

I'm open to some more Odamex DM at some point, but playing Choco online is nearly impossible for me, despite how much I love the port.

There's a 24/7 Server up right now, test it and see if it'll work great ....

But I don't know if the netcode is complete, gotta talk with tm512.

It works, somewhat, but no, it isn't complete at all. It was also one of my first projects in C ever, so I wouldn't count on any of the code being salvageable. Probably has tons of hacks to avoid doing things properly, since I didn't know how.
