Tracer Posted March 1, 2015 I don't mean like a simple linedef action where you can lower the floor or the ceiling of a given sector. I want both to lower at the same time so the whole "box" you're in lowers instead of just the floor. Any help would be great. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
baja blast rd. Posted March 1, 2015 Yes, use the "elevator" action in ZDoom. Here's a simple wad that demonstrates it in action. http://www.mediafire.com/download/dfd1rmjx7xb8plz/demo3.wad Just like with lifts, you're going to have to specify textures that DB2 doesn't realize your map needs. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Kappes Buur Posted March 1, 2015 You should also look into http://zdoom.org/wiki/Linked_sectors if you want to make an elevator from 3D constructs for floors and walls of the cage. [edit] forgot to mention Rex's tutorial http://doomnexus.drdteam.org/Tutorial/elevator.html 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted March 1, 2015 Since you only got ZDoom related answers so far, please don't forget that if you have such questions, always mention the port you are targetting! An action as you describe has first been implemented in Boom so if you want to target anything lower you are out of luck. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted March 1, 2015 It's amusing how these editing questions always focus on the editor, rather than the port. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
