I'm going to be there on the 25th, that's when they're doing the panel on Doom. I plan to wear too many jackets, a garish hat and pajamas with biker boots. Lord help me, if they do a Q&A during the panel, I will say and do something. Is anyone going? Would anyone like to help me?

I've been wanting to go to Quake Con for a while now. If only it was in California :( I don't know many other people in real life as crazy about id software as me.

A lot of the jabs here are directed at Quake or Doom fans. I think you'll find that most of the people attending Quakecon probably are just ordinary gamers. Most of them probarly don't know about any of the factoids about Doom or Quake.

I've never been to Qcon myself so I can't say that for sure. But I've followed it for quite a few years online. And what I learned from that is that Id games are pretty rare to see on monitors in the BYOC area.

Plus, Qcon is free for all to attend and as an open LAN with lots of different events. It tends to attract a lot of different people.
