Super fun fact: That was my original inspiration! I remember seeing a crusty screenshot of Duke Nukem Advance (almost 20 years ago...) and wanted to recreate that shotgun. Always seemed like a neat idea to me even though it's super basic.

i've always wanted a ar15 looking rifle but never found something "quite right" so i quickly threw this together

i have no clue if this is going to be good or not but I'm an hour or so in and now to finish the other 39~ or so lord help me.

pictures of a mars attacks toy........guess this is what they did at ID only not a friggin toy

 

it worked but janky, experimenting is fuuun i should just buy aseprite for twenty bucks, thing looks like it just does all the work for you. lol

man thats such an improvement to the other one you did.

 

yeesh, I never thought I'd ever say something like that about a sonic.o.fan spriteset either!  the man's a machine, just keeps getting better too!

as wonderfull as this is the sheet is, Im afraid, unuseable.

it is somehow compressed and even when viewed at fullsize then downloaded it appears with a "fuzz" around the sprites...

The smoother animation really makes it clear how goofy the SSG reload is.  Doomguy's just whipping his left hand around all over the place at lightning speed to get that shell in there!

This is great, I did similar for my mod already but I see a lot of interesting hands in yours. Made by you or from elsewhere?

I've never played Gears of War in my life I just think the Lancer looks cool, same credits as above.

Cyber/armour elements look kind of weird on hell-imp, I think I'll either make them look like they are made of bones/stone when put on hell variant, or I'll add two more variants and split variants that can mix into "hellish" and "technological" groups.

 

I think scaled-down mancubus cannons could look interesting on the Cyber Imp, IMO, but it also may look meh.

I toyed with a similar idea a while back. Sadly I don't think GZDoom has a way to combine sprites on the fly like that, so you would have to make full sprite sets of each type and combination. Definitely still possible, there's mods like Complex or Samsara that contain an insane number of randomized enemies, but it's not really what I wanted, and a ton of work if you're not using sprites that already exist. Parts that get assembled dynamically would be very cool!

IMO that doesn't look like a Lancer. I don't remember it having twin bladed chainsaw bayonet?
