I think you could make a switch based on those sprites, with :( knight face as OFF texture, and grinning & glowing ones as ON texture. Then use the texture accompanied with evil final boss laughing as you pressed the button.

I wanted to clean it up but I wound up having the rebuild it from the foundation. Concept as a replacement for a Boss, either Cyberdeem or SpiderMasterMom.

 

Probably my most ambitious project yet, and it will be a real challenge to code the way I want it to work (independent heads w melee and ranged attacks that can be "killed" and "regenerated") but its been a fun ride so far.  Still a long way away from something that can be implemented into a wad, but I wanted to share progress so far.

Feel free to use the parts for any other projects you may be up to - at this point there's none of the original left so just credit me if you could.  I'll upload anything useable with proper rotations once it's ready.  As usual I'm just using flat colours with shading, if anyone might want to help with texture, or eventualy coding , or anything else - thoughts or suggestions included - do let me know.  Feedback is always valuable.

I could write a code that would make it lose heads and attacks as it loses health, maybe even grow heads back. I wanted to make a boss like this but it's A LOT of art work. It looks awesome so far 😎

EDIT: 
added some Doom 2016 sounds to replace Doomguy voice
should work on every source port, since it's just a simple sprite reskin and sound edit

This is super bad ass. I've got a spell in the TC I'm making that turns you into a monster and this is pretty perfect.

This is really cool, better "minor demon" concept than I've seen before.  So good I wish I had thought of it!  You hang onto that lizard, he's got a future.

Wasn't too happy with the Torch weapon from Brutal Doom, so I made some changes.

Postal Weapon Pack (WIP) - Sprites

Credits: 3D Realms (for Duke64 and Blood), TSF/Tesefy (USAS Sprite)

There are only 3 weapons sprites finished.

an attempt at a Wolf3D Captain America, would be a player ally I guess, and have a block and shield bash attack on top of the usual chaingun, I won't finish these sprites, if anyone wants to pick them up and finish them, feel free to!

Alright, all weapon sprites are done. (Except for molotov, it's from Postal 3D weapon demo cuz I'm lazy to make myself)

That's freaking neat!

I also want a Hydra-like monster with the same feature and I actually thought about using the Worms or Fire serpent from Realm667 as a base for the head, in this way you can control the heads separately as much as you want, even though the effect of having the neck to be made of separated pieces is a quite hard node to swallow from a visual/aesthetic point of view

The death sprites may take a minute. the Heretic-Imps pain face hasn't been working too well, lmao

Edit: Got it worked out. Shrunk a Hell knights head down half way, and used it as a template for the horned head. looks much better now.

I mean if you don't have another head to put on it it could always be a headshot death (where the head comes of or is destroyed).

Has anyone here made/found the rest of the rotations needed to make a Doom 2 RPG (java version of course) Watcher/Sentinel/Brier? I found someone ripped some on spriters resource but they do not have all the rotations (as they never existed in the original Doom 2 RPG).

Not that I've seen. I had tinkered with it for a minute in trying to resize them down to more conventional sprite size, but never had a solid desire to make a full sprite sheet out of them.

Could use some input - 

 

Doing a quick conversion of my Kobolds into Goblins, as there have been a couple of posts mentioning one or the other.

 

I wanted to differentiate then goblins a little bit though, so its not just skin colour and removing the horns.  Is it worth the effort?  Not a lot of work either way, but I'd rather not go to the trouble if no one cares.

Could I get any opinions?  Rags goblin or muscle goblin?  Any input welcome.
