I have no idea about modding, but maybe a suit of armor that damages demons that are close to the player (seeing as the pinky is a proximity based enemy). Or maybe an armor mimic or cursed armor. osjclatchford Posted August 5, 2023 (edited) all this armor work has got me fancying having a go at something similar myself: Tac-vest variant solid carapace armour type, with sculpted pecs and abs and all that... works well in blue too and a variant of that with shoulderpads for that true 80's look... ;) all made out of tweaking parts of the original id sprites and a LOT of pixel punching in mspaint... Dude I know I give a lot of support but this is AMAZING. There is no other sprite like this anywhere else right now (far as I know anyhow). Once I finish up the other angles (should be easy, they are made just need touching up) I will make a crude weapon for when I post it. I envision the projectile to be land bound, and rip through units. And the support is very much appreciated. I never feel like my stuff fully matches up with other projects on here. I haven't been able to test these, so expect some odd tweaks being needed. Although if you want to be nice, its best to leave at least one straight line of blank pixels between each sprite so you can box select without catching any unwanted pixels. Also, this is just me, but I don't think you have to worry so much about attribution. Burgish Posted August 9, 2023 Any solo doom modding will need like 3 or 4 different skills to make something - this is a good start! Making a custom weapon is actually pretty easy. If you grab yourself a copy of SLADE and follow a tutorial you can get the basics down pretty quick - then its just a matter of tweaking. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
