Feet are now cleanly against the floor, and the highlights will work better (i darkened too many elements on my original work)

This is gonna be a very slow project, as i gotta figure out how to minimize the frames several animations use. the walk cycle alone goes from A thru O.

I'd love to create an entire sprite sheet, but I suck balls when it comes to making sheets. I can only do one sprite at a time, unfortunately :')

I frankensprited axe zombie scientist from realm667 (one of zombie scientist packs) onto shotgun guy and changed axe colours:

I also tried to add attack sprites to only melee zombie sprite that I found from this ZDoom thread: https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=15080&start=27285

but they suck, frankly I have no idea how to make unarmed melee attack sprites look good, I think I'll try to frankensprite realm667 berserker commando fist attack onto that.

Hey that axe sergeant looks great :D A somewhat simple edit but very effective. Nicely done :)

I'm not entirely sold on the rocket launcher zombie but I can't put my finger on what's off about it. Hm... shall have to ponder more.

I think it's the different varieties of shading on the different rotations. The Front and Side rotations have mostly harsher shading, while, and this is noticeable (for me) on the second-from-left angle, there is duller shading, especially noticeable on the legs. The Front angle is especially harsher on the shading. Case 2: Look at the underarm area on the third-from-bottom row.

 

At least, that's what I think.

I don't know about shading but there are plenty of things that could be improved, rocket launcher looks too big on side rotations, it "sinks" into shoulder a bit on back rotations, it looks flat on angled rotations because I just moved it with perspective tool there etc. But there is such a huge workload for project that I'm working on (I decided that I'm going bananas with doom hybrid monsters, every Doom 1 monster is getting cross-over with every other one no matter how much I have to bend logic and visuals to make it look plausible, which gives about 72 modified spritesheets) that I'm just cranking these out en masse as long as they look good enough to me because it would took me a something like a year to finish it otherwise.

was finally able to optimise magicavoxel so that sprites could be made in a quick and effective way (spoilered for large sizes)
