Memfis Posted September 25, 2015 Hey Nicolas! Fantastic work here, for my taste it's probably the best release this year. Wonderfully oldschool approach to level design, never too many monsters (unlike Eviltech for example) and I didn't even see any faviae-style evil traps! :) Anyway, I'm here with my usual question: can you post the song list please? I only recognized two tunes (Around the World + Children) and I'm very curious about the other, especially Map07. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Ezepov Posted September 25, 2015 I finished Favillesco Episodes, now playing Eviltech. And I like longer "epic" maps. Nicolas Monti is a genius. MAP03: Spandau Ballet - True :) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
nicolas monti Posted September 26, 2015 Thanks guys! About what Memphis (Memfis sorry, I always mispell that) said, this time I tried to make maps that can be finished in less time, keeping the interconnectivity and the non linearity factor at times, but aiming to a monster count similar to doom2 maps. No more dickish traps, at least in this kind of classic episode format. These are things that I learned from the feedback and from my short experience and I'm glad to make more enjoyable maps for a wider public, while keeping my aesthetic approach. Now on the music, map01 and map08 music had no available midis so I had to create them. I made some funny choices, not even the music I listen to in some cases. The name means something like 'rage' and is in Tocharian B, a language spoken in northwest China until circa 10th century AD, the language is indoeuropean, that means related to English as well to spanish and many more. 7 Quote Share this post Link to post

Wow, I had no idea... Just spent the past 30 minutes learning about Tocharians. Who the hell knew this would be educational??? :) 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
