And I agree with Koolkat.

I think she is a bit too petite for a marine. I mean, marines are supposed to be able to take a shotgun blast at medium range without complaining too much.

I also think you should give her some bigger guns, maybe even a shotgun if it doesn't amount to too much redrawing.

Otherwise she looks cool enough, perhaps some scratches and scars on her skin. Marines do see some heavy close-combat after all.

I especially like her face. It's pretty, but not supermodel-pretty just as it should be.

Yeah, she is to petite to be a Marine. You should make her look more muscular and also, if she is a Marine, then she cannot have long hair, it needs to be shorter. Her shirt should also be camoflauge, IMO.

Gif would be much worse than indexed PNG (jpg would've been the best in this case).

I checked and it turned to be 400K GIF, 300K indexed PNG and 30-100K JPEG, depending on compression level.

She is about to get a shotgun... :) If you were running around a demon infested spaceport with nothing to eat but rotting corpses you'd be a bit thin too. (DSM's sig> "Plasma fried Demon stew is really delicious!") JPEG ruins it and GIF robs it of 90% of color. Sorry there.

GIF is lossless for grayscale images (and this one is grayscale, virtually).

I believe that roast cacodemon is an "aquired taste".

Barons of Hell are probably completely unedible given that their blood is not so much different from nukage.

I think 256 colors is enough for a B&W drawing like this, so gif should do just fine. As for JPEG, try not using maximum comression.
Even an uncompressed jpeg of this pic sure as fuck won't go over ONE MEG!

Dammit! I need to work some more on my drawings so that I may finish MY Female Doom marine drawing.
There's still a rather long way to go, because unlike my previous drawings, I'm gonna put an actual background on them.

My next drawing is a non-Doom related one (I've also found an old non-Doom drawing, which I intend to put up in my gallery when I get a chance to scan it - just to show that I CAN draw other things than Doom monsters and tough-looking soldiers).

But my female marine drawing is still far from complete (although I've done most of the girl herself - just needs some more shading and perhaps a few other details).
