Soundblock Posted September 17, 2015 A new'ish bug has surfaced for me while editing in Doom Builder 2. Its stumped me as to its cause but I just figured out the cause of it. Here goes: Whenever I'm in 3D mode, and flip the camera quickly to the right, Doom Builder suddenly brings up a list of my undo's on the right side of the screen. A quick flick to the left will remove this list again, but this occurance is highly disruptive. The invisible cursor will frequently highlight a previous undo item and if I, in the middle of my current operation as I am, happen to click on that - all hell breaks loose, in the form of reverting the map to the state of that undo item. In plain english, I frequently risk to lose quite a lot of work via this bug. I don't know how that undo list is supposed to be brought up normally. My question therefore is - is there any way to disable the popping up of this undo list, or do I have to reinstall to get Doom Builder to behave the way it used to? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Dave The Daring Posted September 17, 2015 Go to the Tools menu, and select Preferences. Look near the bottom of the dialogue box for the 'Side Panels' section. You can set the panel to appear on the left or right of the screen, or you can select 'None' which makes it disappear entirely. That should solve your problem. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Then you can't access it when you want to use it, though. I've encountered this issue a bunch before too, it's annoying. I haven't noticed whether or not it can still happen in GZDoom Builder. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I know, but you can still undo through the usual menu, albeit one annoyingly slow step at a time. esselfortium said:I've encountered this issue a bunch before too, it's annoying. Just tried to replicate the problem in GZDoom Builder. It doesn't happen. Yet another reason to switch then. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Soundblock Posted September 17, 2015 That sorted me out, much obliged DtD. Yeah, one more reason to go GZ I guess. Now if I could only bring myself to love anti-aliasing... Probably not gonna happen this decade either. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
esselfortium Posted September 17, 2015 If you hide the side panel, doesn't that mean you also can't access the Edit Selection panel from it for numeric resize, rotate, and mirroring? Or does it still come up when it's specifically called? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
