Keyboard_Doomer Posted June 16, 2016 The custom skies in this WAD don't show up in GLBoom+. However, they do show up in PrBoom+ even if I choose OpenGL as video mode. Does anyone know what's happening here or should I report this as a GLBoom+ bug? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jimmy Posted June 16, 2016 I'm afraid I don't rightly know, but the skies are working in ZDoom, PrBoom+, Zandronum and ZDaemon. I can only assume GLBoom+ doesn't do MBF sky transfers well. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
TheNerdTurtle2 Posted June 16, 2016 I'm on MAP04 and I've got to say well done. None of these feel like speedmaps they are all extremely polished and just amazing 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
kuchitsu Posted June 17, 2016 The berserk red effect seems really annoying with this new palette. I wonder if you could make it a little more subtle by editing the PLAYPAL/COLORMAP or whatever. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jimmy Posted June 17, 2016 Thanks, NerdTurtle! :) kuchitsu, under which port? Looking at it, SLADE seems to have generated the red pain/berserk palettes at pretty much the same redness as the IWADs'. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
kuchitsu Posted June 17, 2016 Well, in ZDaemon it seemed more red than usual. rhinoduck said so too I think. I haven't checked other ports yet. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jimmy Posted June 17, 2016 Hmm, odd. I mean yeah the palette's reds have been changed but if ZDaemon uses the separate palettes then I don't think there logically should be any difference... Does ZDaemon have that "blood brightness" option? Not helpful I know but that's all I can think of. :S 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Tristan Posted June 17, 2016 Just in case you missed it in the session (I forget). The player starts in MAP25 could use some adjustment; if too many players join at once they'll stick together. Also even if this doesn't happen I think I was very briefly stuck in the wall but escaped by trying to move forward, which isn't a massive problem here, just a tad weird. Best to move all starts forward a tiny bit and spread them out a bit more. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jimmy Posted June 18, 2016 Just done that, Eris, thanks for the reminder. :) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Ashstrodamus Posted June 18, 2016 So far so good Jimmy. It's not Resurgence level, but I've only been through like 6 maps. I like shorter levels, but as far as I can tell, some of these maps are not so short. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Exactly what I was thinking hahaha I'm on MAP09 now and I don't know how other people feel but this is replacing Scythe as my favorite megawad, it's sooooo good 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Jimmy Posted November 8, 2018 sorry can't finish maps too busy not finishing other maps (real talk: these haven't been difficulty balanced yet, and I wanna fine-tune the progression and such just a tiny bit before the final release) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jimmy Posted December 3, 2018 (edited) Hey, remember when this existed? Download "Jiffy Bag" RC3 (3.14MB) The OP of this thread has taken a massive update straight to da face. There's even a pretty screenshot collage. This RC will be going up on /idgames in the next week or so. It's time I laid this thing to rest. elend Posted December 18, 2018 Well, I think now is the perfect time for me to actually download and eventually get around to play this thing. Screenshots look great, I even discovered my "hell alps" sky in one of them! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Rudolph Posted April 29, 2021 (edited) Just found out about this megawad while looking for new mapsets to play. Made it to MAP06 and I am enjoying it a lot so far. I hate to say it, but I might even be liking it more than some of your other projects, like Jenesis and Earthless: Prelude; maybe because they are fairly simple and not too difficult? In any case, I am impressed that both the level design and the soundtrack have been made in such a short notice. Edited April 29, 2021 by Rudolph 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Devalaous Posted April 29, 2021 I grabbed this one earlier hoping it had the two removed Jenesis maps, and while it does not, I laughed a lot at the map credits at the start of each level, and I'd love for others to release outtakes and scrapped levels this way. Nothing completed should just be left to rot on someones drive; there's guaranteed to be someone out there that will enjoy it. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
bulldawg8879 Posted June 10 playing through these maps now and they are a ton of fun..(on map 21 now) not too difficult at least on hurt me plenty and really well designed 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jimmy Posted June 10 Many thanks! Glad this rather silly little mapset still brings enjoyment years later. :) 5 Quote Share this post Link to post

Daytime Waitress Posted June 15 One heck of a necro, but I'm glad this is back in the top few pages, because I'd never been introduced to it. I've been playing a mess of Selaco since its release, and while I'm growing to appreciate its sprawling, realistic, intertwined maps, these adorable pocket-planar-dimension combat playgrounds are quite frankly the perfect palate cleanser. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
