DoomNation Dead?

Geez, I knew things would go into this direction. All we at the Parallel Team want to say is that we don't particularly appreciate Cyb's humor he uses in his headlines. AND BY THIS WE DON'T MEAN THAT WE HATE HIM OR HIS HUMOR (AT LEAST NOT ALWAYS), THE POINT SIMPLY IS THAT I AM FUCKING BORED OF SEEING HIS JOKES IN EVERY SINGLE HEADLINE HE DOES!!! There you go. I know humour and comedy are based on repetition, but as the saying goes, you'll start to dislike anything if you'll get too much of it. In the past there have been (although they are very rare) some jokes by Cyb I enjoyed, but the same jokes and the same style in EVERY headline just started to piss me off. Can't we just say our opinion about a guy or a thing here in the Doom community without causing a verbal war? These are only secondary things in the Doom Community, the levels and addons we all make should be the main reason we're all here.

I really couldn't care less if someone hates me or dislikes how I did things on DN. That was never a factor, I said it time and time again, the only reason I did all of that shit was because I enjoyed doing it. Having Doomworldish updates would not only be boring for me, but for everyone else who came to DN for the sole purpose that it wasn't DW.

What ticks me off is the endless flaming and chants of 'Cyb Sucks' and all that crap. Like I said, I don't care if you dislike me, but making it known with nothing to back it up (tho the Parallel Team does back up why the dislike me, so I should leave them alone, but it's oh so much fun to flame them, muhahahaha) other than the fact that you don't like DN. If you hate DN, then don't friggin visit it, that's all. I don't barge in and tell you how to run your site or tell you how to make a TC or level or whatever. Why not? Because it's YOURS.

I don't hate Cyb at all. I used to think he was a turd, but that when I was new to DoomNation and relatively new to the DOOM community. It's different now that I know him better.

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with what Cyb does to DoomNation. If I don't like something he says, I go hang out at Doomworld, but I don't make a big fuss about it. I don't see anything too negative about that.

It is sad that DoomNation is dead. It hosted MANY good sites (even though approx one third were dead (The Doom SFX Shoppe)). What about Team Insanity. I've been waiting for Doom Milennium for AGES. I hope all the sites (except the dead ones) find a new home... maybe here on DN.

Yeah that certainly does suck that a major Doom site has gone down. Still, Doom was and is a good game which has been dissected to distraction leaving it actually too-well-known. No more mystery there. It was good while it lasted, a good memory but don't get too sad - it doesn't have to live forever you know and so Doomnations fall isn't so bad afterall.

It isn't a bad thing to have more than one site to head to. I usually hit both sites for news because they both update frequently, and seem to have different news. Am I the only one who can't find more than 2 updating news sites?
