Doom Master Disks For Sale

Robert Waring, author of the official "Doom Strategy Guide", is auctioning off the original 5,25 inch Doom master disks on his site. He got them in the first place from former id Software's business manager Jay Wilbur in order to finish the guide in time. This auction is to help out the family of AGN's Jeremy Allford, who was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness. All proceeds from this auction will go to his family. Now that's one set of disks you DEFINITELY do not want to get too close to a magnet. Hmm... Why does it keep showing me as Anonymous user even when I type in my username and password? I am geekmarine.

i have an old 286 somewhere, not even that one has a 5 14 drive =(
Anyway, it would be cool to just own those disks!

I saved my old 5.25" drive back from 286s times... It's working well in my p3, still. *snicker*

My old P200 MMX had a 5 1/4" drive and my father's PII-400MHz has one in it.

I have one of those combo drives in my computer. It has both a 5 1/4 and a 3 1/2 drive in one.

Anyone remember those?
