Guest wondersmith Posted September 14, 2000 Arch Master: Back in the early days of Doom, my buddy and I had tons of fun playing co-op through "wadpaks", megawads assembled from a bunch of individual wads. Even without any continuity, even starting maps with powerups we weren't supposed to have, it was fun. Doom is like pizza: even when it's bad it's still pretty good. Arno: Many thanks for the co-op support! 0 Share this post Link to post
stphrz Posted September 14, 2000 Just pick out the best 32 submissions. Put the small levels at the beginning, the larger levels near the end. Everything will work out ok. There is no way this megawad has any hope to be balanced and coherant due to the wildly changing themes and editing styles anyway. Like the post below said, Doom doesn't have to be totally balanced to be fun. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest q.pixel[rex] Posted September 14, 2000 Loki AOD: Lemme see what you've got ;-) Opulent: Did I hear the word "Hellmaker"? That editor rocks man! Too bad it's for mac ;-( ArchMaster: Since this is a 10 sector contest, I'm sure many of the maps will have outstanding gameplay...but most will play it for the awe of how much quality people can stuff into 10 sectors. And no, you won't be showing me how much I suck anytime soon ;-) 0 Share this post Link to post
Opulent Posted September 15, 2000 1000 apologies. I did say that it sucked, but I was just jesting in the post. AFAIK, Hellmaker is the best Mac editor there is. Pixel -- I think you've already won the 10,000 sectors contest. ;) 0 Share this post Link to post
