Personally I can't stand all this high-detail nonsense and all this port and new texture/sprite stuff and the only version of doom with any kind of credibility is v0.99 and anyone who says otherwise is not only wrong but a complete loser retard as well and is no-doubt total crap at Deathmatch cos they're probably just some crappy Compet-N player anyway and we all know Compet-N players are as bad as all the DMers who use Strafe-50 mousedrivers and then capture hissy and refuse to give him back because every wad ever made is shit but I dunno what right AndrewB has to say that in his newstuff bit because he's probably just one of those idiots who hangs around in #doomroom anyway where all the retard ops kick-ban anyone who trys to talk about doom and then go and give away doom warez and probably make crappy high-detail wads as well. Guest Executor Posted June 12, 2001 Jonathan, ZDOOM was the best thing to ever happen to DOOM. Ever. DOOM v0.99 is the most vile piece of DOOM trash I have ever seen. It has more bugs than Windows ME and an anthill (heh heh) combined. When I first played DOOM v1.1 after trying v1.666 for 2 years, I threw the v1.1 disks out the window! There are tons of bugs, the levels are incomplete and Nightmare mode is missing (not that I play on Nightmare). In regular DOOM, you can't play in 1280x1024 like you can in ZDOOM, not to mention that you have to spend a million years in DEUSF just to run a PWAD! ARGH! 0 Share this post Link to post
