Can't get higher res in JDoom

I've noticed that when I try to switch to a higher resolution than 640X480 (my monitor supports up to 1024X768) in the "graphics" section of the options menu my game crashes.

I sometimes get a white screen or it just crashes back to windows. I've tried switching my display control panel prior to starting the game and it did the same thing. (Win98SE) I do not
have this problem with any other games. I am running "Doom II For Windows 95"

I am looking for an answer, patch etc.., on the site and can't seem to find it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I have the same problem. I think it has something to do with 3DFX Voodoo(2) chipsets because the Doomsday engine is designed primarily for OpenGL. I don't think it has anything to do with your monitor. (I have a Banshee card what do you have? 3DFX card probably, right? If that's not it than I don't know...)

Ya it must be the 3DFX card I have the same problem.

Yep I own a Voodoo3 3500 AGP card. I'd love to see this game in higher detail. I have no idea who developed JDoom but maybe we can request a patch of some sort for Voodoo users?
