Can you use Hexen savegames with JHexen?

I have copied the files in the hexndata folder but when I try to load a game there's nothing to choose.
Oh, sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this.

its highly unlikely that jhexen supports original savegames. Either play through the game again or use a cheat, is my suggestion
