Guest Ace 82 Posted November 8, 2000 So which one is better? I have ZDOOM, but i just found out about JDOOM. 0 Share this post Link to post
boris Posted November 8, 2000 If you want awesome graphics use JDoom. However, JDoom has not even Boom support (please correct me if I'm wrong), so you're stuck with older levels (and some new ones) here. ZDooM has many more features and stuff. My advice? Wait for STGL :) 0 Share this post Link to post
ReX Posted November 8, 2000 As Tarin said, JDooM gives you great graphics, and the use of accelerated graphics ports for truer 3-D effects. However, ZDooM is vastly more versatile in terms of gameplay options. 0 Share this post Link to post

Jon Posted November 8, 2000 Ace 82 said:What is Boom?? As you can tell I'm new to the Doom community. Boom is an extension of the original doom2 source code that adds mostly a bunch of editing effects which means modern-day doom editors can incorporate effects that weren't possible previously into their levels, or in other cases make effects that would take a great deal more effort originally. Its usually considered the 'base' port to start developing from when creating a source port. Most source ports have boom support. 0 Share this post Link to post

Malum Archon Posted November 9, 2000 I would say Zdoom, but the Gl doesnt work right for me, and I can play it split screen with friends, so I'd get legacy, which is the easiest to use. 0 Share this post Link to post
