Guest doomgod12345 Posted November 15, 2000 ok i have just installed a new cd-rom on my computer, it was working fine untill i tried installing a old game i found that needed quick time, every time that i installed quicktime my computer would screw up. fnally after about 10 trys it installed and at that time the cd drive worked. i then restarted windows but when i clicked on the drive it said that it was not ready. I have not goten it to work yet. the drive is reading the disk but windows does not get the info, it still list it as a drive in my computer. i think quick time may have done something to the registry if so how can i fix it 0 Share this post Link to post
stphrz Posted November 15, 2000 Try going into your device manager and removing the cdrom drive. Reboot the computer and see if Windows will autodetect the drive again. Dunno if that will work. Worth a shot. 0 Share this post Link to post
