Malice Rancor Posted December 19, 2000 You can get patches to upgrade it. You can download the patch that you need off this website. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest DSoD-Hellfire Posted December 19, 2000 no if you look on the patches page that particular copy cannot be patched 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Lament Posted December 19, 2000 The RGCD FAQ says you could go to the store and they have to upgrade it for you. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest DSoD-Hellfire Posted December 19, 2000 lets put it this way i got it at a used game store for $5 i doubt they could upgrade it considering their PC game section is on a rack smaller than my computer desk 0 Share this post Link to post
stphrz Posted December 19, 2000 You may not be screwed. Email Fod. You can contact him at: fod@uksysops.com. I think he knows where you can get a special patch so you can upgrade your version of Doom2. I seem to remember him directing someone else with the same problem as you to some website (I've forgotten the url). I may be wrong about this though. It may have been some other version he was talking about. Anyway, you have nothing to lose. Give it a shot. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sir Fragsalot Posted December 19, 2000 It was my copy that needed patching. **Checks DW Forum archives** The url I was given was: www.clanvile.com Unfotunately, this doesn't seem to be a site anymore. And I can't find the file I used. Sorry. 0 Share this post Link to post
Linguica Posted December 19, 2000 Why don't you just download a port and see if you can run it with the IWAD you have? 0 Share this post Link to post
fodders Posted December 19, 2000 It's @ http://doomserv2000.com/theclan/D2_16_19.zip 3 Bat files run all 3 , upgrade.bat fixes time stamp then run phase_1.bat then phase_2.bat the upgrade.bat generates an error msg but just ignore, it fixes the problem 0 Share this post Link to post
