doom(2).exe over port debate continued

I just had another thought on this subject.

If your WAD is good enough, people will download that port just to play it. I downloaded EDGE for the first time ever just to play the QDoom demo, and if a decent Legacy project is ever released I'll do the same for that.

This probably won't be the case with single levels, but it mostly likely would apply if you're making a level set such as an episode, mega-WAD, a partial or total conversion, etc.

Ya I never have seen a level made for Legacy. But I use Legacy to play mostly just because it is compatible with my Gravis. I never used ZDoom, Edge, Boom (MBF now), etc... until I started comming across wads made for them. Especially ZDoom, there is a ton of levels for it.
