DooMBoy Posted December 23, 2000 Yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking, "Whoa.....what an original title." But think of this way: why on Earth (or Mars or Hell or Heaven) would a weapon be hiding behind a wall? My point is this: Put weapons in logical places, such as when you see a Shotgun, put it beside a dead Marine. Same goes for all the weapons-except for the BFG. It should have to be "found". I know what this will mean to some of you-"sacrilege". This my view on the Weapons thing. HEHEHEHEHHEHE! 0 Share this post Link to post

Guest Lament Posted December 23, 2000 Umm. Doom is not just architecture and realism. Doom is also gameplay. And gameplay is, usually, MUCH more important. For example, imagine all levels in Doom made like they were all real buildings. God that would be boring. Because real-world places (even plants and factories...yes, even Trinity College! :) ) are not suited to killing monsters in them. Doom buildings are very schematic, and in real world they would just collapse because of their own weight, or something like that. But we don't cry (usually) that we want them to be completely realistic. Their MAIN purpose is to be a decent battlefield. And on decent battlefields there usually are shotguns all around the level. 0 Share this post Link to post
