DooMBoy Posted February 10, 2001 You know, I remember the good old days of Doom. I remember playing Doom and not even knowing what a WAD was. Now, there are so WADs out, that's it's just ridiculous. Not to mention TCs, Skulltag, and what-all else. Anybody feel the way I do? 0 Share this post Link to post
Jayextee Posted February 10, 2001 No - progress is good. Besides, just for playing Doom in this day and age, we all subscribe to liking the old days better, surely? 0 Share this post Link to post

AdamW Posted February 12, 2001 They must be DAMN old days then, since there's been a bloody ton of .wads ever since 1994. Hee. :). I don't quite get your point, since the heaviest period of activity for Doom by far was 1994-1996. If Doomworld had existed then it'd be about 3x as big, I guess. 1996-1998 was pretty lean, with no community page and very few projects released, and 1998-2000 has seen a bit of a resurgence thanks to DoomWorld and source ports... 0 Share this post Link to post
