Guest DiLL Posted February 12, 2001 Hi all, I installed DOOM II (TNT, Plutonia) from the CD on my Windows 2K PC and it works great except I have no mouse support. I start the program from my start button programs with the windows interface window and select "enable mouse support", but nothing gives. I had the same problem when I had NT 4.0. Any one have any ideas? Doom II is so old, it's hard to find any support for it anymore. I want to replay all the levels like I did 6 years ago, and bring back some memories. Thanks 0 Share this post Link to post
AdamW Posted February 12, 2001 Use one of these new-fangled ports. Things like ZDoom and Doom Legacy are programmed ground-up as Win32 products, and should support Win2K just perfectly, including mouse support. There's an excellent page of links to Doom ports on Doomworld, look at the right-hand side of the front page. Check out Zdoom, Doom Legacy and PRBoom. 0 Share this post Link to post
Lüt Posted February 13, 2001 If you have a computer good enough to run Win2K, it can also probably handle ZDoom. You can play Doom2, TNT and Plutonia with this new engine, and you can download it from http://zdoom.notgod.com or the Doomworld Source Ports section. EDGE is also another option; http://edge.sourceforge.net I'd also recommend downloading some of the new custom maps that take advantage of these ports to see what's possible with Doom nowadays. If you have a 3D accelerator, there is also JDoom; http://www.newdoom.com/jdoom Have fun. 0 Share this post Link to post
